David Walliams has an old photograph of himself in a school production of the play All The King’s Men taken back in the early 1980s at Reigate Grammar School in Surrey. For this special documentary, David was keen to recreate the moment in which the original photograph was taken, reuniting the play’s cast for the first time in over three decades.

David’s participation in the play marked a defining moment in his young life – the first time he received laughter for a performance on a stage, and a key episode that put him on the path to success as a professional performer later in life. Thirty years later, David wanted to revisit that time and look back at just what motivated his eleven year old self, a “hinge moment” that would change the course of his life forever.
